All natural waters contain lesser or bigger quantities of calcium and magnesium salts. When water is heated and/or evaporated, these dissolved salts are precipitated and deposits are formed.
Mineral scale results already when water is heated and consists, chemically seen, of calcium carbonate and/or magnesium carbonate; it occurs in flow heaters, boilers, heat exchangers etc.
When water is evaporated within a system the resulting scaling is referred to as boiler scale – all water-dissolved salts remain as a residue. In contrast to mineral scale, boiler scale may contain not only calcium and magnesium salts, but calcium sulfate (= gypsum) and silicates (silica or silicon dioxide) was well.
Additionally to the above described deposits corrosion products (= rust) and organic deposits (micro organisms, plant remains and their products of decomposition, humic substances etc.) may also be formed in water-bearing systems.
To prevent progress of corrosion we use our protection agents, which are added to the water and protect metallic surfaces via physicochemical mechanisms (protective layers, setting of corrosive substances, …).
For killing of microbes on the one hand, and removing of existing organic films, such as slime, biomass consisting of microorganisms and algae as well as herbal-biological residues, on the other hand, oxidising additives (usually active chlorine or oxygen) are necessary, which interfere with the materials directly; decomposed organics can be rinsed out easily afterwards.

- … only short operational interruptions, because our ready-to-use products allow a quick realisation;
- … an optimum protection of metallic materials, i.e. no corrosive stress for the system;
- … in case prevention of health hazards caused by biological deposits or microbial affection.
We are able to conduct our rehabilitation online, i.e. without operational interruption, or offline, e.g. in course of a reconnection.
A chemical rehabilitation (that is a descaling or a rust removal) is but always connected to an operational interruption.
