Limescale in the water

ISO Badge & Badge mit Gründungsjahr

The harder the water, the more limescale is deposited on the warmest parts of the water system – boilers, water heaters, washing machines, heating boilers, etc. become scaled up.

High energy costs and repairs are the result.

How can the formation of limescale and water scale be prevented?

By removing the limescale-forming substances (calcium and magnesium salts) from the water – this is done through water softening or desalination plants; if there are no more limescale salts in the water, then no limescale deposits can form.

But how can you safely remove limescale and water scale that has already formed in boilers and water tanks?

If, despite all precautions, a corresponding deposit has nevertheless formed in your pipes, tanks, heat exchangers, vessels, etc., it can of course be removed again – using the appropriate technique and materials; descaling/descaleping is necessary.

For information on suitable solvents and their application, please refer to the page on chemical refurbishment chemical refurbishment.

Our BOY-pumps are available for carrying out the descaling work; in addition, we have prepared detailed working instructions so that you can carry out your descaling yourself if necessary.
