Antifreeze

We have been supplying antifreeze agents for heating and cooling systems for many years; for this purpose we offer two different types:

• ANTIFROST
• ANTIFROST-PRO

At your request, we can also fill your heating and cooling systems – we can fill buildings up to 100 m high and systems with a capacity of over 50 m³.

FROST and CORROSION PROTECTION AGENT for HEATING and COOLING SYSTEMS according to Austrian standard ÖNORM H5195-2

The Austrian standard ÖNORM H5195-2 deals with antifreeze agents used in heating systems and systems with heat transfer fluids (especially refrigeration systems).

When filling such systems, the antifreeze agent must be mixed with water and only then poured into the system.

The filling water or the filling of the respective system must meet the following requirements:

1. Filter the filling water with a filter with a fineness of 25 µm (in drinking water applications, filtration is usually only done to 100 µm).
2. Systems that have already been filled with antifreeze agent must be chemically cleaned or thoroughly rinsed before refilling.
3. A flushing of the system is required before refilling it.
4. A flushing protocol must be prepared for the flushing of the system.
5. A system protocol for the filling process must be created.
6. The system must be clearly marked with a reference to the frost-protected heat transfer fluid.
7. The water quality of the filling water must comply with the requirements of ÖNORM H5195-2.
8. The filling water must have a maximum chloride content of 30 mg/l.

To adjust the total hardness, we recommend using our mobile water softening or desalination systems.
